Things can really improve in just 3 months! I have HUGE plans and ideas, and things are happening RIGHT NOW that could lead to an amazing job involving my greatest passion: firearms! Doesn't even involve the military! Well... perhaps as things advance and progresses... bah, just gonna have to see how everything unravels. Had a great hour and ten minute conversation on the phone today that's got me feeling more optimistic than I have in months!

Oh yeah, and lost another 30 lbs or so. So I went from around 240 to 185 right now. Also had a good time at the range last weekend, sighted in my M91/30 sniper rifle nicely. Tried shooting at a chicken-shaped gong at 150 yards but couldn't get it, then made a 5 round group at a 25 yard target and seen it was shooting low, to the right. I adjusted the reticle on my replica WW2 PU scope down and to the right so it was aiming where the bullets were going. Loaded 5 more rounds, made a beautiful 4 round group at 50 yards, then shot that last 7.62x54r czech surplus at the chicken gong, which responded with an audible 'TING!' :) that's a hit

Next time at the range I'm gonna try for 200 and 300 yards with this outstanding 1942 rifle :) That's NOTHING for a high-powered sniper rifle, but I never had anyone to teach me how to shoot, so every advancement I make feels like a personal victory :P I'm going to teach myself to shoot at 1000 yards eventually, but I have nowhere near enough experience to attempt that yet lol MIGHT be able to get out to 400 I figure if I can zero it in perfectly at 100 yards, then just aim a bit high til I know where to hold it. Bullets don't fly straight; they arc to the target at longer ranges. Gravity indeed does have an effect, even on bits of lead and metal that has a muzzle velocity of 2800 fps.
